Government approved Clinical Trials for Treatment of NF2

In a search for treatments for NF2 (Neurofibromatosis Type 2), Clinical Studies, are underway and are at different stages. The list for these studies can all be found in the table below. More on the individual studies can be found in the referring link for each trial listed. Treatment aka Intervention type, for NF2 consists of 2 categories:

  • Method:
    • Observation and Tests - These are the NIH (National Institutes of Health) Studies.
    • Drug - Bevacizumab (Avastin), Lapatinib, RAD001 (Everolimus), PTC299, Sunitinib
  • Device: ABI (Auditory Brain Stem Implant)

VS (Vestibular Schwannoma) aka AN (Acoustic Neuroma) are an issue for people with NF2, even if these tumors can be caused for reasons other then NF2. But this means people with NF2 would also qualify for Clinical Trials for people with VS.
